Ibrahim Gokcen to join Maersk Tankers' Board of Directors

Gokcen has more than 20 years of commercial and digital leadership experience. He brings extensive knowledge of digital transformation from global industries. In 2018, Gokcen took on the role of Chief Technology Officer at Schneider Electric. Prior to that, he was Chief Digital Officer at A.P. Moller – Maersk, where he was in charge of the digital strategy, products and establishment of partnerships with companies such as Microsoft. He joined A.P. Moller - Maersk from GE where he spent 12 years and, among others, led the strategy and business development of a digital energy business.

Gokcen holds a PhD in Computer Science from Tulane University and is the co-author of several technology-related publications.

Gokcen will continue to hold the position of Chief Technology Officer at Schneider Electric alongside his new Board of Directors role at Maersk Tankers.
