The Trainee Programme will provide you with solid and broad shipping knowledge. By joining Maersk Tankers you will supplement this knowledge with specific and particular insight into a tanker business active in 8 segments within five markets. You will be part of a business represented in 7 different countries operating more than 300 vessels and with 3900 employees.

We are looking for energetic and driven individuals, eager to learn and passionate about shipping to join us as either Chartering Trainees or Operation Trainees.
You will get a broad network in the industry through joint modules with Trainees from other Shipping Companies. Whether you join the Programme as a Charterer or Operator, your work will have a significant impact on the bottom line.

What does it take?

To qualify as a Trainee in Maersk Tankers we expect you to have:
 
• A bachelor’s degree or
• A degree at upper secondary level supplemented with perhaps an HG, experience from the sea or similar
 
As a Charterer one further has to have a good nose for business and be able to act as a sales person, whereas an Operator should have a good sense of perspective, be able to juggle several balls and possess strong organizational skills. Common to both is a keen enthusiasm and interest in shipping, as well as flair for building strong customer relationships and a commercial mindset.
